Liquidation price calculator

Where an isolated-margin position gets closed, using the exchange’s own maintenance-margin brackets rather than a flat percentage. The buffer is close to 1 divided by your leverage — at 100x that is under one percent of price, which is less than many assets move in an hour.

The same function that builds our liquidation heatmap, quoting Binance USD-M brackets as of August 2026. It names what it leaves out — cross margin, fees and funding — because those are what move the real level. We quote Binance because the heatmap prices off it, not because we are paid to; our exchange-link disclosure says so plainly. Nothing here is financial advice.

A 5.00% move against you closes this position.

The buffer is close to 1/10 of price. The maintenance rate shifts it by 5.00 points, which is why leverage — not the exchange's margin table — is what decides this.

Three things this does not include, named rather than hidden. It computes isolated margin: on cross margin your whole wallet balance and every other open position feed the same calculation, so the real level moves as those do. It excludes fees and funding, which erode margin over time and pull liquidation closer on a position held for days. And it quotes Binance’s USD-M brackets as of August 2026 — other venues publish different tables, and Binance revises theirs. Treat this as the arithmetic, not as a guarantee about your account. Nothing here is financial advice.
